Træning i USA:
Det er virkelig en fornøjelse at træne Mustangs. Træning af Mustangs er
bestemt ikke sværere end træning af alle andre heste - tværtimod, man
skal dog altid huske, at Mustangs har en anden ”startpakke”. I denne
"startpakke" er der bla. et kærligt og behagesyg sind samt også en
ekstrem lærenem og hurtigt opfattende hest.
Mustangs har gennem mange generationer altid selv skulle løse alle opgaver og problemer enten via instinkt eller intelligens. En dum eller letsindig Mustang var altså lig med en død Mustang. Denne naturlige udvælgelse har derfor givet en meget intelligent og opfindsom hest, der samtidig er både fysisk og psykisk stærk og robust.

Traning in USA:
It really is a pleasure to train the Mustangs.
The training of Mustangs is not harder then the training of other horse
breeds. The only thing that you need to remember, is that the Mustang
has another type of "start package".
In this "starter kit" is blah. a loving and coquettish mind, and also an
extremely quick learner and quick witted horse.
Over the years and many generations, the Mustangs has had to solve their own problems through either instinct or intelligence. A dumb or rather irresponsible Mustang, is the same as a dead Mustang. The natural selection has given a very smart and inventive horse, which at the same time is both physical and mentally strong and robust.

Mustangs, der vælges hos BLM (Bureau of Land Management), skal også tæmmes,
da de er født vilde på et af de landområder, der administreres af BLM.
Til den opgave har vi vores amerikanske træner Tim Delsmann, der er helt speciel
til den opgave samt til at træne Mustangs til de opgaver man ønsker.
Der er 2 grunde til at vores BLM Mustangs bliver trænet i USA inden rejsen
til Europa.
Den første er, at man adoptere Mustangs af BLM og de skal være i USA i
minimum 12 måneder efter adoptionens start, inden de kan forlade USA og
flyves til Danmark.
Den anden grund er, at vilde Mustangs ikke er den bedste passager på et fly
til Europa. Det er en nødvendighed, at de tæmmes og trænes, så de kan klare
karantænen og den lange rejse uden problemer og ikke er til farer for sig
selv eller andre.
De 12 måneder i USA bruges også til at træne Mustangens færdigheder alt efter dens alder. Det kan f.eks. være: Lydighed og disciplin, transport træning, social omgang med andre heste og mennesker, træning i forskellige omgivelser og på forskellige underlag, fysisk træning, tilridning eller mere avanceret ridetræning.
Man kan altså få en Mustang, der er trænet efter ønske.

The Mustangs that the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) chooses are tamed, as these horses are born wild. American horse trainer, Tim Delsmann, who is very good at training Mustangs is training our Mustangs that we will be bringing back to Denmark. Tims ability in understanding the Mustang breed helps with his training and trains each horse to the job you wish.
There are two reasons why we are having our Mustangs
trained in the U.S.A.
The first reason is, that when you adopt a Mustang from the BLM, the
horse(s) must remain in the U.S.A for a minimum of 12 months after the
adoption has started. This must be done before we are allowed to fly them to
Denmark.
The second reason is that a wild Mustang is not the best passenger on a
plane to Europe. They need to be tamed and train the horse(s) so they can
make the quarantine and the long journey without problems, for example:
injury to themselves or to others.
The 12 months in the U.S.A is also used to finish
their skills in accordance to their age. It can be for example: obedience
and discipline, transport training, social skills with other horses and
people, training in different environments and with different support,
mental training, green broke or more advanced training.
That means you get a Mustang that is trained after
what you would like.
